I’m ready for Spring and whatnot

Bring on Spring.

I don’t have to say it, but I will. I’m ready for Spring.

Now look, Spring is not my favorite season. It can’t hold a candle to Fall, which is really the only season that I believe should exist. I mean I’ve never really heard a good argument for any of the others, although Summer can be decent, if it got rid of the intertube hatch and jetskis.

But back to Spring, which is I guess my second favorite if I’m going to choose. I’ve made plans for this coming Spring to be a plethora of wilderness goodness. I’m steadily knocking new gear off of my Amazon list and getting prepared for much needed nights in the woods. I’m also preparing for some car camping in the new Subaru.

And while it’s not ideal weather outside, I’ve been inside, putting together a few boxes of flies that I will use to continue to my favorite tradition of tricking trout. Nothing fancy; certainly nothing Instagram worthy. Just workhorses that will get the job done so I can sleep a little more soundly in the Subaru at night.

Garden seeds are started, fly boxes are getting occupied, and Spring is really starting to show itself in these parts. It’s only a couple of more weeks until we break free from the Winter funk and get after it. Let’s do this.
