The Monday Drift: 9/25/17

News and Notes from

Random tidbits to get the week started.

Fly fishing the Eastatoee River

If you’re reading this on Monday 9/25, then I’m probably shin deep in a mountain stream drifting dries for willing trout, as I’m using up some remaining vacation days that I need to use. You can follow along on Instagram to possibly find out how things went.

The Flyfisherous Podcast is coming along, slowly. As much as I want to, I’m determined not to release episodes until they are exactly what I want them to be. The podcast has been a fun project so far, and it’s certainly made me look at fly fishing in a different way. It won’t be much longer, so stay tuned for some updates coming about the podcast.

I recently launched a new Q&A Session segment, and my first victim was Jake Vanderweyden from The Fly Fiend. Give it a read if you missed it, and look for some other Q&A Sessions coming in the near future.

Also, a quick reminder that the F3T Tour stop in Greenville, SC is this Friday (9/29). If you’re in the area come on by and hang out. I’ll be there drinking some beer and checking out some fly fishing flicks. It will be good times not to be missed.

Finally, thank you sweet baby Jesus that football has started. My Green Bay Packers are looking sketchy early on, but I’m hopeful that it will be a good season.

Thanks for reading, let’s go crush another week!
