Keep on keeping on

News and Notes from

I’ve been way too busy lately to spend some quality time with this here blog. I haven’t fished in weeks and tying sessions have been non-existent.┬áProbably sounds familiar to some of you, as we’ve all been there.

It’s been a Summer of hanging out by the pool, getting a ton of shit done around the house, long hours on endless projects at work, and finally, FINALLY, handling some personal matters that needed squashing.

Life is a rat race most days. No matter how much we all strive for the simple life, life makes it really hard to keep it simple.

I get up every day and just keep on keeping on. It is what it is, and we all eventually find that little slice of peace that resets us, recharges us, and prepares us for the next round. I usually find that peace on a small stream. But I haven’t even been able to go searching for it lately.

As Fall approaches, and we start to conclude another miserable Summer in the South, I know that it’s just a matter of time before I get back to that status of chasing trout on a fly rod. I welcome it, as I know it will provide that soothing cleanse of the daily life that I need.

Those of you still dropping by and checking in, thank you. Look for some more ramblings and whatnot from me in the near future.

Keep on keeping on. It’s time for football, and that means that trout fishing is about to get really fucking magical again.
