First Look: Loon Rogue Quickdraw Forceps

I’m a sucker for useful, handy tools that make time on the water quicker and easier. Loon Outdoor’s new Rogue Quickdraw Forceps fit that bill quite well.

The ultimate hemostat, thoughtfully designed from the tips to the jaws to the handle. The carabiner handles makes it easy to store anywhere you want. The tight angles and engineered shape accommodate all fly sizes, allow for easy hook removal, and can crimp even the heaviest of barbs. Oversized thumb and finger holes accommodate large or gloved hands, and the compact cutting surface easily clips light or heavy leader.

The idea of a combination, multi-use tool has always sat well with me. The less I have to carry, the better. I gotta say, the quick release latch on these looks stellar. I’ll be interested to see the retail price on these, but I can almost promise you that I’ll own a pair.

These are not on the Loon website as of this post, but you can probably expect some additional info on these over on their website soon.
