First Look: Simms Intruder wet wading boots

A first look at new fly fishing products -

Simms announces their new Intruder boots for the wet wading crowd.

Simms Intruder Wet Wading BootsI’ve been saying for quite a while that someone needs to make a decent boot for wet wading. The options have always been either extremely limited or non-existent.

Simms has answered with their new Intruder Wet Wading boot.

These look pretty cool and have all of the features you’d expect from Simms built right into them.Ā Available with VibramĀ® Megagrip rubber outsole and felt, the Intruder features an integrated neoprene sock to block debris. The boot is designed to be worn barefoot or with Simms neoprene wading or guard socks.

I have to imagine these would be fairly popular, and something that Simms has probably been looking to do for a while now.

Trust me, I look forward to being able to wet wade as soon as weather permits. I live in the South and when it’s 90 degrees outside, the last thing you want to be doing is fishing in waders. I’m glad to see Simms step up and give us a pair of boots made specifically for wet wading.

These were just announced, so not much more info is out right now, but keep checking the Simms website as more info becomes available.
