Fly Tying: Sulphur Usual Variant

Fly tying tutorials and patterns from Fisherous.com

Tim Flagler shows how to tie his Sulphur Usual Variant, a variation of Fran Betters’s “Usual”.

I’m a really big fan of simple flies that work, and this is one of those flies. This is a super simple fly to tie and it’s a perfect dry fly for many different situations. By varying the colors (and even the materials), you can create a fly that is quick, easy and will match most any hatch.

The fly tying videos from Tightline Productions are just about as good as it gets, so be sure to check them out over on Vimeo.
