Fly Tying: The Mole Fly

Fly tying tutorials and patterns from Fisherous.com

A simple, effective dry fly pattern you should always have in the box.

Tightline Productions recently posted another awesome fly tying video, this time showing Charlie Craven’s Mole Fly pattern.

It’s a simple, effective 2 material pattern that floats like nobody’s business. Using CDC and beaver dubbing, this pattern is probably one of the easiest you can learn to tie.

I tie this fly using either Ear’s Hare+ dubbing or my own custom blend of deer hair dubbing. It floats well and is usually highly productive.
