Fly Tying: The Lil’ Hollywood Hopper

Fly tying tutorials and patterns from

Hoppers go Hollywood with Juan Ramirez’s latest pattern.

Check out Juan Ramirez’s Lil’ Hollywood Hopper, a bite size hopper pattern that is just waiting to get inhaled. I’m a big fan of hopper patterns and Juan Ramirez ties up some cool stuff.

This pattern uses the MFC hopper legs for the back legs, giving it a super realistic look. You could just as easily substitute those with some rubber legs as well. Also, the colors on this pattern can be changed to match whatever your local waters call for. It’s a cool hopper pattern worth checking out.

Also, Juan runs a cool blog, notably titled The Hopper Juan, so go check it out as well for some other cool stuff.
