Fly Pattern: Female Adams Comparadun

Davie McPhail ties a simple, buggy Adams Comparadun that looks totally awesome.

Comparaduns are some of my absolute favorite dry fly patterns to both fish and tie. This female Adams pattern from Davie McPhail is simply awesome and certainly worth a view. I’m digging the egg sack accent and the rabbit/mole fur dubbing combo gives it a super buggy look.

Hook: Size 16 Dry Fly
Thread: Uni-8/0 Grey
Tail: Whiting Coq de Leon and Natural Brown Fibers
Egg Sack: Yellow Dry Fly Dubbing
Body: Natural Rabbit/Mole Fur Mix
Wing: Carabou and Dyed Deer Hair
