The new vise is here

I’m stoked to say that my brand new fly tying vise has arrived and I can’t wait to get down to business. It’s been several months in the making but I’m happy to finally get started down this path of what I’m pretty sure will become a new addiction.

I finally decided on the Wolff Indiana Atlas vise and I think I made a really good choice. Based on several reviews and the price point for this vise, I didn’t see how I could go wrong. I’ll be sure to post up a review of the vise in a few weeks, although this my very first vise so I really have nothing to compare it to.

My original goal was to stay under $100 for the vise. The Atlas ended up being a little over that at $135 but worth the extra few dollars to gain a few added benefits over the other $100 models that I originally looked into. So far, just removing it from the box and getting it setup, this vise is pretty awesome. Very well made and I think I’m going to dig it.

So, the addiction has begun. Stay tuned to see how this little adventure pans out for me.
