Cabela’s Incorporated, the World’s Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, will celebrate the official grand opening of its Greenville, S.C., store Thursday, April 3.

A ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted by Cabela’s executives and special guests, will begin at 10:45 a.m. and doors will open for business at 11 a.m. Opening day will kick off a weekend-long celebration highlighted by celebrity appearances, family events, giveaways and more.

The 100,000-square-foot store – Cabela’s first South Carolina location – will be located in Magnolia Park, a newly redeveloped shopping center located at the junction of Interstates-385 and -85 on Woodruff Road. It is expected to employ approximately 235 full-time and part-time employees, most coming from Greenville and the surrounding area.

The store will be built in Cabela’s next-generation layout, designed to surround customers in an outdoor-like experience with museum-quality wildlife displays. In addition to thousands of quality outdoor products, the store will include a large mountain replica, a Gun Library, Bargain Cave, Indoor Archery Range and Fudge Shop.

Currently, Cabela’s operates 50 stores across North America with plans to open an additional 23 over the next two years, including a Fort Mill, S.C., location in spring 2015.
