So there it was, a really good deal on a really solid fly tying vise. The same one that I’ve been looking at purchasing for a few months now. It was right there, on eBay, in what the seller described as pure perfect condition. I immediately clicked “Watch” so I could keep an eye on the vise. This is it I thought, this is the beginning.
Fast forward ahead two days and the outlook is totally different. In the midst of watching some of the best college football that I’ve watched in weeks, time seemed to get away from me. It’s mostly my fault and I will accept the blame for letting this happen.
Between watching the game, hooking up some stellar dinner in the kitchen and making sure our little 6-month old didn’t flip out of the Winnie the Pooh walker, the deal passed me by.
So, it is what it is. I missed the fly tying vise that I’ve been wanting, on eBay, that sold for $55 with free shipping. I’ve already put procedures in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again and I will overcome this. Sometimes, you have to learn from mistakes in order to hopefully never have them happen again.
This one taught me a lesson.
