Why I like it

I’ve been using a Crosswater reel for a couple of years now. My very first outfit purchase was the Crosswater outfit from Redington and I’ve been using it ever since. I purchased the 9′, 5wt setup and have loved it from day 1.┬áThe Crosswater reel is simply a great reel that fishes well and takes quite a beating. It has one of the best drag systems you’ll find for reels in this price range. I’ve put mine through some serious abuse and it still looks and performs just as good as the day I bought it.

I believe this is one of the best deals out there for someone just beginning fly fishing or anyone looking for an inexpensive backup or main reel to head out and sling around on the water. I don’t think you can beat the price or the quality of the reel in this price range.

Check out the Redington Crosswater reels and pick up a great reel that is super affordable. I think you’ll be extremely happy with it!
